Carol Ann Hartensteiner passed away in Schulenburg on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at age 63.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Fr. Scott Hill officiated. Pallbearers were cousins Daniel Etzler, Gary Etzler, Danny Joe Etzler, Travis Wagner, David Wagner and Brian Wagner, and friend of the family P.J. Wood.
Rosary was recited at the church at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 28, led by Dana Hartensteiner.
Born on Nov. 16, 1958 in Hallettsville, she was the daughter of Daniel J. and Victoria H. (Etzler) Wagner. She attended St. Rose of Lima Elementary School and Bishop Forest High School. On July 19, 1980, she married Clarence Hartensteiner in Schulenburg. A lifelong resident of Fayette County, she worked as a pharmacy tech and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Hartensteiner; a daughter, Kelsey Hartensteiner of Schulenburg; two sons, Danny Hartensteiner and wife Dana of Schulenburg, and Kevin Hartensteiner and wife Clorisa of Hallettsville; a sister, Donna Wagner of Hallettsville; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, numerous aunts and uncles, and several cousins.
Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
