Colton James Wendell

Colton James Wendell was born to Jenifer (Kaase Heintz) and Mark Wendell on April 10, 2011 in San Antonio. He passed peacefully on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024.

Although Colton was unable to speak, he communicated so much love, understanding, and joy for life. With the heart of a true warrior, he was a fun and happy boy. His entrance into this world was an uphill battle but he didn’t know any other way. Through God’s grace and love, Colton conquered every battle he faced with determination and stubbornness to live. He is a true fighter. On Aug. 12, the Lord and Colton had one last battle to conquer. Together, defeating his aliments, he entered his perfect heavenly body, leaving all the worldly imperfections behind.

For anyone who has met Colton, he was radiant and full of life. “We encourage you to shine bright at the visitation and the Celebration of Life event by honoring Colton’s colorful life by wearing vibrant colors,” his family writes.

Colton was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Wendell; uncle, Yogi Guajardo; and four-legged siblings, Daisy and Major.
