Darlene Frances Carroll, 78, formerly of Weimar, passed away in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025.
She was born in Niskayuna, New York, on Aug. 5, 1947 to Ferdinand and Rhoda (Lawton) Rychick and grew up in Schnectady. Darlene first chose the nursing profession and graduated as an LPN. Later, she served in the U.S. Air Force where she met the love of her life, Steven Carroll, whom she married on Feb. 21, 1975. They were married for 50 years.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Steve; father-in-law, Dusty Carroll; son, Earl J. “John” and wife Karen Carroll; daughter Amy and husband David DeCoux; daughter, Valeree and fiance Richard Jenkins; daughter, Erica and husband Leonard Christen; and son, Daniel and wife Haylee Carroll; son, James and wife Hollie Parman. Darlene is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She loved her family, visiting with friends, and going on travels around the United States in which Walt Disneyworld became a favorite destination. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
