E.J. Chromcak, 94, of Houston, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home in Houston, followed by interment in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
Born Jan. 27, 1927 at Yoakum, he was the son of Emil Joe Chromcak Sr. and Mary Pulbrabek. He married Barbara Cornelson. He graduated with a business degree from Texas A&M University (class of 1950). He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and again in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Houston A&M Club, 12 Man Club, American Legion and Knights of Columbus.
E.J. was educated at the St. Rose Catholic School and Schulenburg High School. E.J. received recognition as the Outstanding Houston Aggie of 2020 by the Houston A&M Club.
Survivors include son Tom Chromcak and wife Jeanne; five grandchildren: T.J., Chase, Kaylie, Justin Boyle (Jennifer) and Leslie Zimmerman (Trevor); and five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Penny, Oliver, Nora and Maysie.
Preceding him in death were a son, Bradley John Chromcak; wife, Barbara Cornelson Chromcak; and sister, Evelyn Chromcak Wagner.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Association of Former Students of Texas A&M. Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
