Eunice Marie Brosch of Schulenburg passed away on Wednesday morning, Nov. 8 at St. David Hospital in Austin at age 77 years, 13 days.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Officiating were Fr. Luke Prihoda, Fr. Jasper Liggio, Msgr. Tim Kosler, Msgr. John Peters, Fr. Felix Twumasi and Fr. Alexander Aboagye. Pallbearers were nephews Gerald Shodrok, Vincent Shodrok, Donald Ewing, David Ewing and David Maxey, and family friend James Halliburton. Named as honorary pallbearers were grandchildren Addison and Dawson Belicek.

Rosary was recited on Monday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home, led by Fr. Luke Prihoda. Visitation began at 5 p.m.

Born on Oct. 26, 1946 in Schulenburg, she was the daughter of Edmund and Lillie (Vacula) Kubos. She attended Bishop Forest High School. On Nov. 24, 1966, she married Robert Brosch at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She lived in Schulenburg her entire life, and served as secretary/ administrative assistant for St. Rose of Lima Parish for 57 years. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the St. Rose Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Brosch; a daughter, Nicole Belicek and husband Donnie of Hallettsville; a son, Todd Brosch of Schulenburg; two sisters, Mildred Ewing and Betty Ann Shodrok, both of San Antonio; two grandchildren, Addison and Dawson Belicek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents and a brother, James Kubos, preceded her in death. Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church or the St. Rose of Lima cemetery fund.
