George Elgin Krupala, 93, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022.
He was born April 10, 1928 in Schulenburg to Ed and Angelina Krupala. George grew up and attended grade school at St. John Catholic School in the St. John community and graduated from high school in 1946 at Schulenburg. He then volunteered for the Army and served in the Korean War. In 1952, he received a BS degree in agriculture from Texas A&M University in College Station. He married Rose Lillian Kveton on June 5, 1954 in Lubbock and they had one child, Mary. They moved to Hamilton in 1964 where he worked for the Farmers Home Administration until retiring in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Isabella, and brother Eustace Krupala.
George is survived by his wife of 67 years; one daughter, Mary Krupala Hodge and husband Jon Hodge; four grandchildren, Joshua Hodge and wife Alejantra, Kimberly Hodge, Cynthia Fivecoat and husband Brent, and Michael Hodge; and three great-grandchilren.
A private service will be held. Memorials can be made to one’s favorite charity.
