Henry was a dedicated Knights of Columbus member for 45 years and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father and Papa to his grandchildren. Henry attended school at Beasely in Midway, and then Shiner High School. Henry had an excellent work ethic. In his early years, he worked many jobs on the farm and later worked at the Texaco gas station in Shiner and then the Texaco in Schulenburg. He transitioned into a new field and worked for Brown & Root for four years. His greatest joy was his loving relationships with his three grandchildren. He had a gift to make people smile, laugh and make their day. Henry loved music, barbecuing, maintaining his yard, camping trips, fishing and taking leisurely rides throughout the countryside. He had a “fur baby” named Dexter who accompanied him for walks in Wolters Park and loved playing with his “grand fur babies” Gracie, Bella and Benson. He also enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds that frequented his yard. Henry left a legacy of strength and love to his family and friends.
