James Antosh

James Jerry Antosh, 89, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026. He was born on Dec. 14, 1936, in Schulenburg, to Jerry and Mathilda Antosh.

James graduated from Schulenburg High School in 1953, attended Blinn College, and later worked for Texas Instruments in Dallas for several years. While living in Dallas, he met Nancy McDavid, and they married in 1959. Together they had two sons, Jim and Michael.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years. Throughout his life, he enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, vacations, exploring new places, and learning about history. He was an avid reader with a lifelong curiosity about the world.

In 1995, James married Rosie McDonell. The two shared a deep love for travel, animals, the mountains, and gardening at their home in Granbury. Rosie preceded James in death in 2022. James is survived by his sister, Bernice Sellers of Houston; his sons, Jim and Michael; Michael’s wife, Erin; and his grandchildren, Joseph and Sarah. He is also survived by his sister-inlaw, Anna Thompson, and her husband, Harry, along with many beloved nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
