Leslie ‘Faye’ Kloesel

Leslie “Faye” Brewer Kloesel, 92, of Midland, passed away at her home Thursday, Oct.28, 2021.

She was born in Carmine, one of four daughters, to Lester and Ruby Brewer of Schulenburg. Faye graduated from Schulenburg High School where she played clarinet with the Girl Scout marching band and was active in journalism. She was employed by the Cozy Theatre and the phone and gas company, then married Joseph A. Kloesel Jr. on Feb. 28, 1954, after he obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. After moving to Midland in 1962, she raised her three children and became active with her husband at Drilco Industrial. She served as Girl Scout leader and Little League baseball scorekeeper with her children and participated with the Midland Chamber of Commerce and the West Texas Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sausley of St. Lucia, and son, David Kloesel of Midland; sisters, Helen Machac of Houston, and Ruth and Mike McClelland of Richmond; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Ruby Brewer; her husband, Joseph A. Kloesel Jr.; sister, Beatrice Scott; and sons, Mark James and Ronald Keith Kloesel.

A viewing preceded the chapel ceremony. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 at Nalley, Pickle and Welch Funeral Home, 3800 N. Big Spring St., Midland. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, Midland.
