Luis Chavez passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose presence brought strength, warmth and laughter to those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tamie Chavez, and his three children: Robert Nanez and wife Ashlee, Kacie Ramos and husband Chris, and Tyler Chavez and wife Mackenzie. Luis was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Ace, Anastasia, Zowie, Henry, Grayson, Avery and Madison. They brought him immense joy and whom he loved deeply.
Luis will be remembered for the love for his family, his sense of humor and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. The last several years brought many health challenges for him. He continued to fight and keep everyone laughing, even in his hardest moments.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren and all who loved him.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Moravia Parish Hall, 11134 FM 957, Schulenburg, TX 78956. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and honor his memory.
