A rosary and memorial service will be held on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, with Fr. John Suenram officiating and inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born on Dec. 27, 1952 at Santa Rosa Hospital, he was the son of Joseph and Mary R. (Blaschke) Narendorf and was a lifelong resident of San Antonio. He attended St. John Bosco Elementary School, Holy Cross High School and San Antonio College where he earned an associate in applied science degree in 1975. After his graduation, he began his career at Motorola Inc. in Seguin. He really enjoyed his work there as a draftsman, senior draftsman and mechanical draftsman. He remained there until 1992, when Motorola relocated out-of-state. After making the difficult decision to remain in San Antonio, Michael found employment as a draftsman. Later, he worked at Dillard’s. He enjoyed bowling and collecting coins and sports memorabilia. Upon his retirement from Dillard’s, he became caretaker of his brother. His faith was a very important part of his life. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and he served as an usher for many years at the Little Flower Basilica in San Antonio.

His step-mother, Geraldine Narendorf, and a brother, Kenneth Narendorf of San Antonio, survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mary and Joseph Narendorf.
