Neal Ray Heinrich

Neal Heinrich passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.

Neal was born in Port Lavaca on Dec. 25, 1959, to Gus and Pearl Heinrich. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Troy Heinrich and Harvey Heinrich, and infant son Nicholas Neal Heinrich.

He moved with his family to Schulenburg shortly after he began junior high school. Neal was a proud Schulenburg Shorthorn, Class of ’78! Many fond memories and lifelong friendships were made at Schulenburg High School.

Neal built things – homes, barns, fences, kitchens – the list does not end. Next to creating beautiful things, he fished, a lot. He loved to fish at the coast with his buddies and sons. His favorite spot was at his buddy Dale Holly’s in Muldoon. Many a bass were caught and released at those tanks.

Neal built a beautiful family. He was married to Coleen for 38 years, and he had two awesome sons he was so very proud of, two beautiful daughters-in-law and three precious grandchildren. His grandbabies were the light of his life. There was nothing like the look on his face when they were around.

Besides his wife Coleen, he is survived by his sons, Jay Heinrich and wife Daniela of Buda, and Cale Heinrich and wife Megan of Schulenburg; three grandchildren, Rowan, Finley and Deacon; and two sisters and two brothers.

A Celebration of Life for Neal Ray Heinrich was held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at the Dubina Parish Hall from noon to 2 p.m.

His family writes, “The hole in our hearts is deep, but so are the memories. PawPaw – we love you forever.”
