Nelson Kainer, 52, of Weimar passed away at his home on Sunday, June 14, 2020 after a two-year illness.
Graveside services were held at the Schulenburg City Cemetery on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Schmit officiating.
Born in Houston on Dec. 20, 1967, he was the son of Nelson and Sharon (Gipson) Kainer. He attended Schulenburg High School. He married Rachel Irwin on May 5, 2012 in Port Aransas. He worked as an LVN for many years at many places – he worked with many different people and would help anyone who needed help.
Survivors include his parents, Nelson Kainer and Sharon (Gipson) Kainer; his wife, Rachel (Irwin) Kainer; brother, Robert Kainer and wife Judy of Waco; sister-in-law, Donna Copper and husband Nolan of Giddings; sister-in-law, Emma Irwin of Giddings; brother-in-law, Thomas and wife Faith of Giddings; and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Edwin and Agnes Kainer and Ruth and John Gipson; and a sister, Connie Sue Kainer.
