Reagan Cartwright Rorschach

Reagan Cartwright Rorschach passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025 after a 10-month battle with cancer.

Reagan was born May 19, 1965, in Houston to Richard Rorschach and Justa Helm. His mother remarried and moved the family to Schulenburg in 1975. Upon graduation in 1983, Reagan attended Texas A&M (College Station) earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and environmental engineering. Upon graduation, he worked for a number of engineering firms specializing in wastewater management. After discovering a greater passion for finance, he earned an Executive MBA from Baylor University and moved to Dallas, working in the field of start-up financing.

Reagan’s greatest achievement was his family. In 2007 he married Kristy Smith and together they have two daughters, Ryn (age 14) and Meris (age 10).

Reagan cherished his friendships and extended family, sharing with them his humor, insights and many passions. His life was a testament to the idea that people are not measured by the number of their days, but by the impact they leave on the hearts around them.

Reagan is survived by his loving wife, Kristy; their daughters, Ryn and Meris; his father, Richard Rorschach; his brothers, Andrew Rorschach (Kathy) and Richard Rorschach (Patricia); Kristy’s parents, Jerry and Jane Smith; Kristy’s sister, Shannon Pettle; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Justa Helm, and stepmother, Martha Rorschach.
