Rebecca Ann Pavlas

Rebecca Ann (Tesch) Pavlas passed away at her home in Ammannsville on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 after battling cancer for four months. She reached the age of 63 years, 11 months.

A private memorial service for family only will be held at a future date.

Born in El Campo on Aug. 20, 1956, she was the daughter of Elmer E. and Grace (Bilek) Tesch. She attended El Campo High School and then obtained a GED. On Sept. 29, 1973, she married Carl Pavlas at St. Phillip Catholic Church in El Campo. She lived in El Campo in her younger years and resided in the Ammannsville area for 35 years. She worked as a machinist for over 20 years and was a member of the Lutheran faith.

She liked to go fishing, work in her flower gardens, attend family functions, and go to her grandsons’ sporting events.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Pavlas; three daughters, Carla Ricicar and husband Allen of Schulenburg, Laura Byrn and husband Ryan of La Grange, and Darla Pavlas of Schulenburg; a brother, Edgar Tesch of Hallettsville; six grandchildren, BreAnna, Tristan, Trevor, Halle, Nathan and Elijah; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Carl Tesch; and a sister-in-law, Kim Tesch.

The family requests that memorial contributions in her honor be made to Hospice of South Texas or a charity of one’s choice.
