Richard William Severa of Conroe entered into eternal rest on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024.
Richard was born in Corpus Christi on Feb. 25, 1941 to parents Albert and Josephina (Janacek) Severa. Richard attended school in Schulenburg, where he played football, and graduated in 1959. He volunteered for the Army and served in the photography department. After the Army stint, he went to plumbing school in Houston and worked as a construction plumber for several years and then became an inspector for Harris County. Retiring to his Conroe residence, he took a part-time job as a photographer for an oil company. He was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe.
He had two sons, Brian and Scott, with his wife Anita (Siptak) Severa. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Thomas, Leon and Jerome Severa.
His sister, Barbara Hamontree, lives in Schulenburg. Burial will be in the Veterans National Cemetery at a future date.
