William “Bubba” Pritchard was born Feb. 16, 1956 in Seguin to Effie Cowey Pritchard and Sidney Pritchard. He graduated from Waelder High School in 1974. In 1977, he married Evelyn Brunner. They were married for 43 years. They were blessed with one child, Ashley Pritchard.

After graduating from high school, Bubba worked for J Bar B Foods, Schulenburg Printing, Prototype Machine, and started his own business in 1997, Trophy Tech and Gifts. He retired from the Flatonia Volunteer Fire Department after serving 20 years as a volunteer and also served as Fire Chief. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Flatonia and served as an usher, rosary leader, and Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Flatonia Knights of Columbus, served as Grand Knight and also was a Fourth Degree Knight. Bubba served on many ACTS Retreats and was truly a fisher of men. He enjoyed serving the community as a Flatonia Little League coach and he helped start the Blue Santa program and Golf Tournament in Flatonia to help provide gifts to children in need. Bubba’s outgoing personality and kind spirit will be remembered by many. He never met a stranger and loved the outdoors. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He brought joy and laughs to everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Eunice Engel

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Pritchard; daughter Ashley Eddlemon and husband Kelly and two precious granddaughters; brother, Donnie Pritchard and wife Patty; many nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia.

Serving as pallbearers were Bruce Vecera, Douglas Engelmann, Chris Freytag, Ronnie Kallus Jr., Russell Kallus and Donnie Mikulenka.

A private visitation was held Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020 at 3 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Holy Rosary and Funeral Mass were held Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia officiated by Fr. Eddie Winkler.
