Mr. and Mrs. Gus Sommer of Muldoon, Texas will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Gus (Boots) Sommer and Ruth Hoehne were united in marriage at United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schulenburg, TX on October 20, 1956.
The couple moved to Houston where they worked and raised a family. After retiring, they moved to Columbus, TX for a few years before settling at their final home in Muldoon, TX. Gus enjoys spending his days in his garden and Ruth likes to read and spend time with their grandkids.
Gus and Ruth have three sons: Ronald, Ricky (Karen), and Randy; four granddaughters: Kalynn (Nick), Kacie (Kelly), Brandy (Joey), and Ashley, as well as five great grandchildren: Jaiden, Sommer, Rylan, Everly and Joseph.
