Schulenburg Little League Fried Fish Dinner
The Schulenburg Little League will serve a drive-thru-only fried fish dinner on Friday, April 11 starting at 5 p.m. at the High Hill Hall. The $13 plates will include fried fish, beans, coleslaw, hush puppies and tartar sauce. Tickets are available from any Schulenburg Little League player and will also be available at the hall the day of the fish fry.

Easter activities at Schulenburg Public Library
Everyone is invited to come visit with the Easter bunny at the Schulenburg Public Library, 310 Simpson, on Saturday, April 12 and join in an Easter egg hunt. Participants should bring their own Easter basket. Activities will start at 10 am. This Easter event is sponsored by the Friends of the Schulenburg Public Library.
Relay for Life of Fayette County
The Relay for Life of Fayette County will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Leopard Stadium in La Grange. Over 90 items are available for bidding in an online auction, moving to a silent auction at the Relay from 6 to 8 a.m. A luminaria ceremony will be held at 8:30 p.m.
St. Rose Altar Society Palm Sunday Dinner
The St. Rose Altar Society will hold its Palm Sunday fried chicken dinner on April 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Schulenburg Hall. The drive-thru-only plates will cost $13 each and include fried chicken with all the trimmings. A bake sale will also be held.
American Legion Chicken Fried Steak Dinner
American Legion McBride Post 143 will serve a drive-thru-only chicken fried steak dinner on Tuesday, April 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Legion Home inWolters Park.The plates will include chicken fried steak, buttered potatoes, green beans with bacon, salad, dinner roll and dessert. Tickets ($14 each) are available at Schulenburg Printing, Schulenburg Sticker, Grahmann’sTrue Value, CrystalThreads, E&S Fashions or from any Legion member. Only a limited number of tickets will be available at the drivethru. The Auxiliary will have bake sale items available for purchase.
Holy Week, Easter Services at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 110 North Upton Ave., will hold Palm Sunday services on April 13 at 10:45 a.m. and Maundy Thursday services on April 17 at 6:30 p.m. On Easter Sunday, April 20, a sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m., Sunday School for all ages will begin at 9:30 a.m. and an Easter service will start at 10:45 a.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt for children nursery-age to fifth grade. In addition, the community Good Friday service on April 18 will be held at noon at Stevens Chapel United Methodist Church.
Community Good Friday Service
The Schulenburg Ministerial Alliance will host a community Good Friday service at the historic Stephens Chapel United Methodist Church on April 18 at noon. The church is located at the corner of College and Wolters. There will be a fellowship meal under the tents afterward. Christians of all denominations are welcome to this annual gathering.
Lions Club Nontraditional Student Scholarship
The Lions Club is offering one or more $2,000 nontraditional student scholarships. Applicants must live in Schulenburg or work in Schulenburg and live in the surrounding area. Applications are available from the Chamber (979-743-4514) or Schulenburg Public Library. Applications must be submitted to the Chamber office by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 25.
