Ammannsville Parish Picnic
St. John the Baptist Church in Ammannsville will hold its 135th-year picnic on Sunday, June 15. A fried chicken/sausage meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., dine-in or plates-to-go, costing $15 per plate.
Music during the day and night will be provided by Mark Halata & Texavia and Czechaholics. Hamburgers will be served starting at 4 p.m. There will also be an auction at 1 p.m., plinko, cake walk, bingo, ring toss, surprise packages, toy walk, country store, snow cones, duck pond, etc.
Weimar Knights of Columbus Chicken Fried Steak Dinner
Weimar KC Council 2153 will serve a hand-battered chicken fried steak dinner on Sunday, June 22 from 10 a.m. until sold out at the St. Michael Catholic Church Family Center inWeimar. Cost is $14 each for th drive-thru-only plates.
St. John Parish Fourth of July Picnic
St. John Parish will hold its picnic on Friday, July 4 at the parish grounds in St. John. The “full old-time picnic” will start with Mass at 9 a.m. and a flag-raising at 10 a.m. A lunch of stew, fried chicken and trimmings (dine-in or take-home) will be served starting at 10:30 a.m. for $14 per plate. A free dance under the pavilion will also begin at 10:30 a.m. and feature Dujka Brothers, Red Ravens, Mark Halata & Texavia and Nathan Colt Young Band. An auction will begin at 12:30 p.m.
