Schulenburg Sausagefest

The ninth annual Schulenburg Sausagefest will be held on Saturday, April 6 in downtown Schulenburg from 11:15 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Live music will feature the Czechaholics, Mark Halata & Texavia, Darrel Appelt and headliner Broken Alibi. Homemade wine, sauerkraut and pickle judging will be held. There will also be a hog-calling contest, sausage-toss contest, arts/crafts vendors, grand march, children’s activities, fun run, American Legion black bean motorcycle ride, biergarten and food.

American Legion Fried Chicken & Sausage Dinner

American Legion McBride Post 143 will serve a drive-thru-only fried chicken and sausage dinner on Wednesday, April 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Legion Home in Wolters Park. The plates will include Oakridge fried chicken, sausage, buttered potatoes and green beans with bacon.Tickets ($13 each) are available at Schulenburg Printing, Schulenburg Sticker, Grahmann’s True Value, Crystal Threads or from any Legion member. Only a limited number of tickets will be available at the drive-thru. The Auxiliary will have bake sale items available for purchase.

Knights of Columbus Grilled Moo & Cluck Dinner

The Schulenburg KCs will serve a drive-thru-only grilled Moo & Cluck dinner on Sunday, April 14 at the Schulenburg Hall starting at 10:30 a.m. or when food is ready. The $12 plates will include grilled beef hamburger steak and chicken breast with gravy, flavored rice and sides. Reservations are not necessary.

In addition, the South Texas Blood Bank will have a blood drive on Sunday, April 14 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Schulenburg Hall parking lot. Each donor will get a free meal provided by the KCs. For more information, contact Ed Kusy at 979-743-5879.

Restitution Revival United Services

Restitution Revival United invites everyone to church services with Pastor Sha-Ron Heslep every first Saturday and second Sunday at noon at 702 Hillje St. in Schulenburg. All are welcome.
