BBQ Dinner Benefitting St. Rose of Lima Catholic School

A dinner featuring Jerry Mikeska’s famous barbecue will be served on Sunday, May 24 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the KC Hall parking lot. The drive-thru plates will cost $10 each. Proceeds will go to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School. 

Memorial Day Holiday

Most local businesses will not be staffed and will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. All Fayette County offices and the City of Schulenburg will not be staffed and will have a holiday. 

In addition, the annual Memorial Day program at Wolters Park has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is usually conducted by local veterans organizations on Memorial Day.

The Sticker will be closed and the deadline for all materials for the Thursday, May 28 issue (ads, classifieds, articles, photos) will be Friday, May 22 at noon.

Arts for Rural Texas Summer Art Camps

Food Pantry is Drive-Thru-Only on Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m.

The Schulenburg Area Food Pantry, located at 304 East Ave., is open Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m. but is  operating as “drive-through only.”   

In addition, the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry is now serving as an emergency food source for those in need (not just clients) who live in the Schulenburg 78956 ZIP code, with minimal information needed.
