Arts for Rural Texas Youth Art Competition
Arts for Rural Texas is accepting entries in its Emerging Artists Youth Art Competition, open to grades 6-12. Display-ready artwork will be received from Monday, Aug. 3 through Wednesday, Aug. 5. Entries can include painting, three-dimensional, mixed media, photography and drawing. A total of $3,500 in cash prizes will be awarded.

Early Childhood Screening
Early childhood screening for children ages 3-4 who have significant learning and communication delays and who live in the Schulenburg and Flatonia school districts will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Schulenburg school district.
Parents should contact the Fayette County Shared Service Arrangement at 979-743-4778 to set up an appointment. Because of the current health crisis, personnel will only see children by appointment.
