LEGION & AUXILIARY
American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary will hold their Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Legion Home in Wolters Park with a social at 6 p.m. and meal and awards presentation at 7 p.m. Dress is casual with Legionnaire cap.
The Christmas party is free for all paid-up members of American Legion Post 143, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and Legion Riders along their spouses and minor children. Single members may bring one guest. Others will be charged $10 per plate. RSVP was due Nov. 27.
Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry as well as unwrapped gift items for infants to children age 5.
HERMANN SONS LIFE
The Hermann Sons Life Lodge 14 Christmas party will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Oakridge Restaurant, with social hour at 5 p.m. and a meal at 6 p.m.
Members are asked to bring a $15 gift for the raffle which supports the scholarship fund. Pins will be awarded and the humanitarian award will be presented. For more information, contact Ed Moeller at 979-561-6979.
