Colorado Valley Quilt Guild has Improv workshop

The flooding on Wednesday morning, Jan. 24 did not deter the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild members from attending an “Improv” workshop with Michelle Lavender. Lavender is from HollyDee Quilts in Luling.

She demonstrated the many ways to transform fabric scraps into quilts, using a “Wonky” cut and a really open mind. Her unique way of cutting and piecing was amazing.

The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl St., Room A East, La Grange. Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months. Meetings are always open to the public.
