American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Commander Bob Heinrich called the meeting to order with 37 Legion and 10 Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary chaplain Linda Dieringer read the opening prayer.
In special announcements Peggy Fish, Auxiliary president, reminded everyone about the donation jar for the cancer research fund being placed at each meeting for the foreseeable future. Debora Behlen gave her report on hall rentals for November and December. Heinrich noted various Veterans Day events: St. Rose Veterans Mass, Nov. 9; SISD Veterans Day program, Nov. 10; corn maze event, Nov. 11; and an invitation to Barton Creek Ranch, Nov. 11. He thanked members for their support at the Praha Veterans Day program on Nov. 5.
