Legion, Auxiliary hold monthly meetings

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Jan. 2. Commander Bob Heinrich called the meeting to order with 31 Legion and seven Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary chaplain Linda Dieringer read the opening prayer.

In special announcements, Peggy Fish, Auxiliary president, reminded all about donation jar for the cancer research fund placed at each meeting. She also announced that the Department convention was set for Jan. 20-21 in Austin. Debora Behlen reported on hall rentals for the next two months. Heinrich thanked the Auxiliary and Christmas committee for their work in putting together the Legion Christmas party.

The Auxiliary and Legion then retired into their separate meetings.
