Fayette County Czech Heritage Society
The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society will have a special meeting on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m. at TCHCC Hanslik Hall in La Grange.
The queen and little princess candidates that are planning to represent Fayette CHS at the CHS Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen & Youth Royalty Pageant this summer will be introduced and crowned. Barbara Ortwein, author of A Summer in Spillville in 1893, will discuss her historical novel about composer Antonin Dvorak.
Members are asked to please bring finger food or dessert to share at the reception afterward. Guests are welcome.
Young Farmers
The Schulenburg Young Farmers will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Schulenburg Expo Center. Chair for the meeting will be Janice Muehr, and the topic will be gardening.
