Fayette County Retired Teachers
The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association will meet on Monday, March 9 at New Life Methodist Church, 1215 Von Minden Road in La Grange at 1:45 p.m. Guest speaker will be Kenny Couch, executive director of Habitat For Humanity in Fayette County. All retired teachers and school personnel are welcome to attend.
Farmers Co-Op Stockholders’ Meeting
The Schulenburg Farmers Co-op annual stockholders’ meeting will be held on Thursday, March 12 at the Schulenburg KC Hall. A social at 6:30 p.m. and meal at 7 p.m. will be followed by the meeting.
All stockholders who plan to attend are asked to call the co-op office at 979-743-3153 on or before Tuesday, March 10 so that a meal count can be taken.
The business meeting will include the minutes from the previous meeting, CPA financial report, four board members up for re-election and any new business that needs to be presented.
Any member who wishes to pick up a financial statement prior to the meeting can go by the co-op office. No copies will be mailed.
The board of directors urges all stockholders to attend, let their wishes be known and enjoy an evening with members and friends. Each stockholder will receive two gift certificates for attending and door prizes will also be given.
Fayette county Republican Women
The public is invited to attend the Fayette County Republican Women general meeting on Wednesday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club, 575 Country Club Drive in La Grange. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is available for $20.
Speaker will be Carrie Bigford of Texans for Vaccine Choice. This organization is dedicated to defending the fight for medical freedom, ensuring every family has the power to make informed choices about vaccines and privacy.
