QUILT GUILD
Colorado Valley Quilt Guild will host author Janet Shawgo of Gal veston at its meeting on Tuesday, June 23 at 6 p.m. Shawgo has been writing since 2009, with 11 published novels. Her most recent book, My Sister’s Quilt, tells the story of family through quilts. The book contains eight short stories that explore how quilts can hold the history of a family.
Shawgo will also share the inspira tion behind the book, the role quilts have played in her own family and how quilting can become a meaningful way to document and celebrate family history.
The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl St., Room A East, La Grange Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months.
