Swiss Alp-Ammannsville Dubina Farm Bureau
The Swiss Alp-Ammannsville-Dubina Farm Bureau will hold its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Swiss Alp Farm Bureau hall. The social will start at 6 p.m., followed by a potluck supper.
A business meeting will be held after the supper. Guest speaker will be Cooper Mau, a senior at Fayetteville High School and Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador. Members are asked to bring a covered dish or a dessert.
VIETNAM VETERANS
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 870 meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Ammannsville KJT Hall. This month’s date is Oct. 18. Food and refreshments will be provided after the meeting.
VVA, AVVA and prospective members are invited.
FAYETTE COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN
The Fayette County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 19 at Sealand Seafood & Steaks Restaurant, 2359 W. State Hwy. (Business) 71, La Grange.
Speaker will be Dr. Ron Seivert of the Texas A&M University School of Government. Dr. Seivert will discuss what Republicans need to do to ensure their candidates win in 2024. The business meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. but those who plan to have dinner (Dutch-treat) should plan to arrive early.
