The Fayette County Historical Commission will have its next meeting at Founders Park, located across from the Courthouse at 252 W. Colorado in La Grange, on Monday, March 20 starting at 6 p.m.
The meetings are open to the public and are a great way to learn more about the activities of the Historical Commission and the efforts of its members to preserve the history of Fayette County.
The Historical Commission is always looking for new members who are interested in “working” to help in these preservation efforts. People are also being sought to serve as docents to provide tours of the Fayette County Courthouse, information to tourists about the county and other activities of the commission.
SWISS ALP-AMMANNSVILLEDUBINA FARM BUREAU
The Swiss Alp-Ammannsville-Dubina Farm Bureau will meet on Tuesday, March 21 at the Swiss Alp Farm Bureau Hall. The social will start at 6 p.m., followed by a potluck supper.
After supper, a business meeting will be held with a guest speaker, Wendy McDaniels, Fayette County Farm Bureau board president.
Members are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert.
