POW/MIA ceremony conducted at Legion and Auxiliary meeting
The table and its contents hold special significance for the solemn POW/MIA ceremony. The table, set for one, includes a white tablecloth, red rose, yellow ribbon, slice of lemon, salt, inverted glass, empty chair and candle. In honor of Prisoners Of War/Missing In Action Month in September, the Schulenburg American Legion Auxiliary held a solemn ceremony at the beginning of the Legion and Auxiliary meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Thirty-three members of the post were present to witness the special honors conducted by the Auxiliary.
POW/MIA Day is held annually on the third Friday of September.
