SHS 1960 CLASS

The Schulenburg High School class of 1960 will hold a reunion on Thursday, Oct. 5 at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please get on the attendance list so there will be a good head count to assist the restaurant.

Frantisek & Marie Svetlik Family

The 19th annual family reunion for Frantisek and Marie Svetlik and their descendants Frank, Joe, Emil, Alois, August and Adolph Svetlik, and Frances Svetlik Trojcak, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Blase’s Hall, 4276 U.S. Highway 90A West, Hallettsville.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. Stew, sausage, fried chicken and potatoes will be provided for the meal, which will be served at noon. Each family is asked to bring a side dish (vegetable, salad and/or dessert).

Those who wish can also bring an item for the silent auction or raffle. Please encourage family members to attend.

DATE CHANGE FOR SIMMONS-LEMONS-ADAMS 2023 FAMILY REUNION

Due to the death of an immediate family member, the Simmons, Lemons and Adams annual family reunion has been changed to Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Blase’s Hall (361-798-2978). Blase’s is located nine miles east of Shiner and 3½ miles west of Hallettsville on Highway 90A.

The scholarship application date has been extended to Friday, Oct. 6 and winners will be announced during the family reunion.
