Schoener
The Schoener reunion is returning on Sunday, June 1 at the KC Hall in Schulenburg. Gathering will start at 11 a.m. and a meal will be served at noon.
Families should bring enough food to feed themselves. Tea, coffee, lemonade, plates, napkins, cups,and plastic ware will be provided.
The registration fee, to help defray the cost of the hall, is $10 per family and $5 per individual. Once registered, each person will receive one ticket – half of the ticket should be placed in the general bucket at the registration table and the other half should be kept. Tickets will be pulled from the general bucket for prizes on the stage.
Each family is asked to bring two prizes, one for the door prize on stage and the other for a bucket drawing. The prize can be something simple and inexpensive (sodas, plants, games, etc.). Those with children might bring a prize for a child.
Near the registration table, there will be tickets for sale for the bucket drawing which is the “money-maker.” Bucket drawing tickets will be $1 each or seven for $5. A person can buy as many as he or she wants to try for one or several prizes..
A short meeting will be held, followed by the drawings. Games, dominoes and cards should be brought to spend time meeting other members of the family and enjoying one another’s company.

Appelt
The Appelt family reunion is scheduled for Sunday, June 1 at Appelt’s Hill Hall near Hallettsville. Registration will start at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. As before, the entire meal of stew, sausage and assorted side dishes will be provided by the reunion, as well as drinks in individual cans and bottles. There is no need to bring a side dish, but please bring (1) a small dessert, (2) an item for the prize drawing and (3) any updates to family information.
One of the agenda items this year will be election of officers.
