Winedale Historic Site will host an online talk titled “18 Minutes through 187 Years: The Battle of San Jacinto and its National Aftermath” on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at noon via Zoom.
The public is invited to join San Jacinto Battleground educator Bailey Brantley as she provides an overview of the battle of San Jacinto. She will recount how against numeric odds, morale challenges and varying amounts of military experience among its soldiers, the Texan army was able to overcome the Mexican army in the 18-minute Battle of San Jacinto and change the course of history.
