Without community intervention, the Faison House in La Grange will disappear as have many other Texas house museums, including Victoria’s McNamara House. “It’s a simple matter of money and volunteers,”Arnold Romberg, president of the Faison Preservation Society (FPS), explained.

The third edition in a series called “Breaking the Silence,” movies in which local veterans are interviewed about their service in Vietnam, will be presented at the Lyric Theater in Flatonia on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. This movie was produced by Joe Janecka. Admission is free.
