Navidad Valley Community Connections had another great week at the Senior Center in Schulenburg and members are looking forward to another one. Discussions center around allergy remedies and gardening tips because they really want to be outdoors.

At the Easter party hosted by Schulenburg/Weimar area Parents As Teachers at Weimar Elementary School on Thursday, April 7, one of the activities was hunting for two Easter eggs of the same color, with the entire family participating.

John C. Landa Jr., “The Schulenbirder,” sent two photos he took this past weekend, saying “We’re in the midst of the spring migration, and Bolivar Peninsula is one of the best places in the country to watch the birds.” Landa also says, “Keep an eye out for painted buntings.
