The John Everett Chapter, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), and Robert Rankin Chapter 62, SAR (Sons of the American Revolution), presented Zachary and Roxanne Zahradnik,1208 Struss Lane, Columbus, with the American flag display certificates for March.

Class set on natural ways to control arthritis, pain

Think Organic Academy will offer a free class, “Arthritis and Pain,” at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange on Sunday, March 30 from 2 to 4 p.m.The class will cover natural methods to control arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, pain, acid indigestion, rheumatoid arthritis and more.

Program on court system slated at Weimar library

Friends of the Weimar Public Library will host a program on Friday, March 21 at 10 a.m. on how the court system works.Colorado County Judge Ty Prause will be the featured speaker.

Public invited to help with Lavaca River cleanup April 5

The third annual Lavaca River clean-up on Saturday, April 5 will kick off at 8 a.m. at the Hallet Oak Gallery, where participants will receive a safety briefing, T-shirts and be divided into two teams.The public is welcome to join the effort. The clean-up will start promptly at 8:30 a.m.

Barn quilt square class set at Round Top library

The Round Top Family Library will offer a barn quilt square class on Friday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for adults age 18 and up.Registration is required and the class size is limited to 10.Instructor will be Zadra Morgan, who has generously donated the supplies for the class.
