Local Food Pantry serves 149 families during May

The Schulenburg Area Food Pantry served 149 families in May with a total of 473 individuals. The Pantry had six new clients with 20 individuals in those families. The amount of food given out was 8,378 pounds.

The 47th yearly gathering of the Paul and Josephine Machac family occurred on Saturday, June 7 at the St. John outdoor pavilion, drawing 82 attendees.Welcoming remarks and a family news update were provided by president Jarrad Michna.

Fayette County 4-H’ers competed in the 2025 Texas 4-H Roundup at Texas A&M University in College Station from June 3-5.Texas 4-H Roundup is the pinnacle event for Texas 4-H, with senior 4-H members competing in approximately 50 diverse contests.
