Multi-County Child Care Conference attended by 204

A total of 204 childcare providers from over 18 towns gathered on Feb. 1 for the Multi-County Child Care Conference, organized by the Texas A&M Agri-Life Extension Service. Hosted by Austin, Fayette and Wharton counties, the event took place at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange.

Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department Stew Supper The Schulenburg VFD will serve a boneless beef stew supper on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the KC Hall. Cost is $13 each for the drive-thru-only plates. Deadline to buy tickets was Monday, Feb.

Master Gardeners to host program on roses Feb. 11

The Bluebonnet Master Gardener lunch-and-learn educational program will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange.The topic this month will be “Roses” and the guest speaker is Master Gardener Elizabeth Castro.
