Lightning delayed last Friday’s season opener in Hallettsville for an hour and 20 minutes and, after the 8:50 kickoff, the Brahmas struck repeatedly to charge past the Shorthorns for a 49-0 win.
By the end of the first quarter, the home team amassed 164 yards and built a 21-0 lead.
