After splitting the first two sets at home against Weimar last Friday, the Lady Horns claimed the District 27-2A championship by closing out the match in four games.
“It’s always a great atmosphere when we play Weimar and any time you can clinch the district title, it makes it even better,” Schulenburg head coach Donald Zapalac said. “The most important thing about the match is doing the things that can help you prepare for the playoffs.”
The 3-1 win upped the Lady Horns’ district title streak to four and improved their season record to 30-12 heading into the regularseason finale at home against Shiner on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
