After 3-0 sweeps of Waelder and Lexington at SHS Gym on Tuesday, Sept. 5, the Lady Horns needed five sets to defeat Round Top-Carmine on the road last Friday.
With the victory over Cubettes, a top 10 team in Class 1A, Schulenburg improved to 18-12 on the season.
Leading the way for the Lady Horns in the three matches last week were Emmrie Marx with 49 kills, Jessalyn Gipson with 36, and Meredith Magliolo with 29. Schulenburg served 41 aces, including 23 against Waelder, with Kieryn Adams and Landry Zapalac each totaling nine, followed by Keaton Walker with eight. Dig leaders were: Adams (56), Zapalac (28), Avery Helms (23), and Madison Kunschick (21).
