Lady Horns take over first place in district

After coming out victorious in two matches last week that went a total of nine sets, the Lady Horns took over the top spot in District 27-2A and improved to 26-12 on the season.

Both came away from home, handing Weimar its first district loss 3-1 before outlasting Shiner 3-2. With a four-set loss to the Ladycats the previous week, the Lady Comanches dropped to third place midway through the district schedule.

Leading the way for Schulenburg in the two key wins were Emmrie Marx, with 35 kills, and Jessalyn Gipson, with 24, while Kieryn Adams totaled 71 digs. Meredith Magliolo added 17 kills to go along with one solo block and seven block assists.
