Only two innings ended with a Kenedy lead over the Shorthorns in last week’s bi-district series. Even so, the Lions pulled out a 5-4 win in game one Thursday only to have Schulenburg close them out with a 7-1 victory later that day and a 6-3 final on Friday.
“I love this team when their backs are against the wall because they seem to find a way to win,” Horn head coach Isaiah Barrera said.
