Although the Shorthorn team slipped from eighth place in 2023 to ninth this year, they shot 25 strokes better in their second consecutive Class 2A state golf tournament.
The two-round event, held Monday and Tuesday, April 29-30 at Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin, included 12 teams (top three from each of four regions).
