St. Rose Cardinal football team downs Nazareth 36-6

The St. Rose Cardinals traveled to Victoria to play the Nazareth Academy Jets and came away with a 36-6 victory.

The Jets took the ball to start the game and quickly moved into Cardinal territory with a 30-yard pass completion. Led by Adam Schramek and Denver Carr, the St. Rose defense responded by forcing a turnover on downs. Pressure from linemen Brock Seger, Chris Campos, and Max Hernandez aided in flushing the quarterback from the pocket, which would be a theme for the entire game.

St. Rose then scored in four plays, highlighted by a 45-yard run by Carr. Weston Hollas, following the block of Bo Brossmann, capped the drive. Hollas passed to Charlie Shank for the two-point conversion.
