The St. Rose Cardinals played their final game of the season against the Shiner St. Ludmila and came up short 30-24 in a tough, hard fought game.
St. Ludmila received the opening kickoff and scored quickly on a 44-yard run and successful conversion. St. Rose answered even quicker, as Denver Carr took the second play from scrimmage for a 69-yard touchdown run with nice blocks on the edge fromAdam Schramek and Brett Hollas. He also rushed for the conversion to even the score 8-8.
St. Rose recovered the ensuing kickoff as the ball bounced off the return team and into the arms of Rilee Durfey. St. Rose got one first down on an 11-yard run by William Eudy but then turned it over on downs. St. Ludmila put together an 11-play TD drive to retake the lead 14-8.
