Powerful Pirates come to town Friday

For its third straight home game, Schulenburg will host a top 10 team in Class 3A Division II in the Poth Pirates. Kickoff at David Husmann Memorial Stadium this Friday, Sept. 15 is set for 7:30 p.m. So far this season, Poth has won two of its three games.

Eagles steer clear of Shorthorn upset with three late scores

Overcoming an early 16-0 deficit, the Shorthorns held a one-point lead late in the third quarter but Rogers finished with 22 unanswered points to take 44-23 win at David Husmann Memorial Stadium last Friday, Sept. 1.
